Elisabeth Hasselbeck

Elisabeth Hasselbeck feels that she's being picked on.

here is a tip for you girl - the media and people ONLY pick on the ones that do stupid things and say stupid things. you may not do stupid ass things but you sure as hell SAY stupid ass things.

why do you think the millions of people at youtube say you are an idiot for the things you have said?

there is a reason for everything, until you realize that, well, then you'll know why you are being "picked" on.

what ELSE did we learn today on 09/29/08

so what exactly have we learned about today?

1 - Bush has finally lived up to his expectation - fuckin' up the economy.
2 - despite what people say, it's pretty clear that the 700 billion bail out plan is NOT going to pass anytime soon
3 - while the bail out plan was just shoved up Bush's ass, our stock market is probably going fall even more, maybe even crashing, who knows.
4 - it's freakin' humid in SoCal right now
5 - my boots, watch, and money came in today. right on, now to tackle on the up and coming days of horror.
6 - brett farve is still the man in the NFL, 6 TDs and 1 INT, most career record for touchdowns and interceptions, what a guy! Green Bay Packers doesn't know what they are missing - probably a 4-0 record.
7 - Bush sucks ass

that's enough for today.

what did we learn this month?

quickly, let's review what we learned this month in the United States of America -

1 - the economy is fucked
2 - the LPGA is racist
3 - the sun is still burning people like crazy in California.

this is straight up retarded.

oh, and like jim rome says - "BENCH THE SALT!"

i'm out.

A Bathing Ape Jacket

found the jacket that i want. now all i need is about 2 grand.

like the post title states, it IS A Bathing Ape Jacket. freakin' expensive. but the material they use is really good. it's calfskin on the out side and on the inside it's cotton with feathers. looks to be a freakin' warm ass jacket.

Karei-naru Ichizoku - my after tastes about this drama

okay. i don't know who reads my blog. probably like 2 people. that's fine. hope you know that one of my hobbies is watching dramas. doesn't matter if it is Japanese, Korean, Chinese, or even English TV-Series, i'm normally not too picking about drama or tv-series. this time i'm going give out some of my opinions about the drama that i recently watched (literally just finished like 8 hours ago) "Karei-naru Ichizoku". this is a real complicated story. to put it in a simple way, it's a drama that takes place in the 1960s in Japan, a time where the country is trying to stop an invasion of foreign banks by merging banks and a time where they are trying to enter into the industrial world of steel making. this is a story about the manpyo family where Daisuke Manpyo, the father director of the Hanshin Bank, tries to gain power by coming up with schemes to eat up bigger banks to gain power and stay control. this is also a story about his first born son, Teppei Manpyo, an engineer who specializes in steel and who is the director of the Manpyo family steel firm Hanshin Steelworks, trying to stay afloat in the industry and trying to build a blast furnace, which he believes will benefit Hanshin Steelworks by producing as quantity of steel related products and with his own technologically advance designs, can make Japan visible on the world map as a powerful industry country.

err... okay, that WAS the short version. you don't want to read about the long version because it would be like a 15-20 page essay term paper.

10 episodes running at about 45 minutes per episode except for the first and final episode, this is one drama that i strongly urge people to watch. comparing with the dramas that had came out in the recent 1-2 years, this one is refreshing because it's a time period drama. almost all of the current dramas take place in the 2000S. and the scale of this drama is pretty magnificent. dramas in Japan are like movies in the United States, and to see the scale of this drama series is pretty amazing because i have not seen something like this from a Japanese drama. first and foremost, an all star cast, which i believe is probably one of the better castings in recent Japanese dramas. because this is a time period drama, they needed experienced actors. those stupid jpop singers wanna be actors not here, which is a plus because 90% of them can not really act for shit. big name actors in this one - Takuya Kimura, Kyoka Suzuki, Kazue Fukuishi, Toru Nakamura, Hiroki Narimiya. i don't have time to say who they are but they are pretty big name actors. if you watch Japanese dramas, you know Takuya Kimura. he's dramas generally generate a view rating of at least 20% and this one was average at around 25% to 30%.

the storyline is very good. in some ways it's very political but not to the extent where you do not know what they are talking about. the main points are clear and the storyline twists is very good. the acting is very good and of course, like i said, the scale and the scenes are really beautiful. it really got me hooked after the end of episode 1. not only is the acting and story good, it makes you think about all the stuff not being said. the characters are manipulative that sometimes you just want to spit or slap them from your sofa or bed or where ever you are watching from. long with the story and actors with their great acting, it really just engulfs you in. i've watched about 5 different dramas this year and i can safely say that this one is number 1 compared to the others.

watch it. feel it. then, you'll know what i mean.

G Shock Wish List

been checking out a lot of G Shock watches and i have now complied a wish list.

here we go -

5 -

CASIO G-SHOCK DW-5025B DW5025B 25TH ANNIVERSARY WATCH

reason why i picked this one is because first of all, it's a limited edition. i'm not really digging the white but it's a limited edition. second i love reverse displays, as you can see the face color is black.

4 -

CASIO G-SHOCK GW9200-1 aka Riseman

my reasons for this watch because it has probably the most functions out of a G Shock watch. it's a solar atomic watch. which means that the battery will recharge itself when exposed to the sun, therefore, i will never have to worry about changing the battery. and this baby is an atomic watch which means that it will have the most accurate time.

3 -

CASIO G-Shock MTG900DA-8V

this is actually the watch that tom cruise wears in the movie Mission Impossible: 3. it's a really good watch. solar atomic as well. it's got a PVD strap which means that it's a metal that doesn't scratch as easily. i like this watch because it's basically an all black watch that is very durable. i don't have to worry about it scratching up or anything. again, i don't have to worry about the correct time or the battery as it is solar powered, etc. and this watch looks alright in casual and street clothes.

2 -

G-Shock GWM5600BC-1V

at number 2 it's this baby. the GWM5600BC-1V. why? first of all this design of G Shock is my favorite design. it's the 5600 series design. the old school design. when one glances at this watch, they know within 1 second that it's a g shock. it's solar atomic. no worrying about time, battery, and scratches as the strap is i believe made out of resin (hard ass rubber) and metal. so while it might get scratched up after a lot of uses, it won't be that bad. this version show the day and date (like it will tell you it's SUN and the actual date). not to be confused with the GW5600 version. note that this version has a GWM

1 -

unknow...

that's right. i dunno what is my number one. i want a watch where i can wear it with street clothes, casual, and business casual with solar atomic functions and a good PVD or metal/titanium band.

too bad g shock doesn't make one like that yet.

well, there you go, my top 5 G Shock wish list.

how i got my "G"

okay, so recently, i've been obsessed with G Shock watches. it all started when i was watching the drama SP Hero. in the SP, the main character was sporting a G Shock. and because i thought it would be cool to have the exact same watch, i went online and started looking for it.

i was thinking about at the beginning that it would be rather easy. i didn't know too much about G Shocks, i thought that they are more of a regular watch and that the watch was going to be a rather easy find.

oh, how wrong I was.

google was not a great help to me at first since i did not know the model of this particular G Shock, i was really looking picture by picture. i first read about the watch from a Singapore blog site that talked about the Drama SP Hero and the watch that was featured in there.

it was called the DW5600FS-3JF.

okay, so on with the search. this was the hard part. neither ebay or amazon had this particular model. why was this? i wondered....

turns out to be a Japan-only model. okay, fair enough. logged on to the Japanese version of yahoo and did a search for it. found it!!!! only the sellers ONLY shipped inside Japan and not internationally. what a bummer. i needed help. since non of my friends were into G Shocks, the only thing that i was left with was the message boards. i was recently watching a Japanese drama called "densha otaku" about a man who was a hardcore anime and manga fan looking for relationship advice from an online message forum.

i was looking for a good forum and stumbled on to www.watchuseek.com. they had a bunch of sub forums dedicated to different brands of watches. and i saw the G Shock board. registered and log on and created a thread about it on the WTB (want to buy) board. nothing. no replies, nothing. so i guess no one was selling this baby.

okay, on to the main G Shock forum. made a thread about it. within a matter of hours, i can a few replies. turns out that this sucker is only found in Japan and that finding one out side of Japan was near impossible. the forum members suggested me to a website.

http://www.seiyajapan.com/ this was the first website where i attempted to try and obtain my watch. seiya-san basically sells Japan only models and ships them internationally. so i sent in a request form for this watch.

seiya-san got back to me within 2 days i believe which is pretty quick. the watch was located and the price after everything was about 320.00. i told him that i was interested about purchasing and waiting for a response. perhaps it was the time difference but seiya-san replied to me 2 days later that the watch has already been sold.

big, fat, bummer!!!!

okay. so what was next?

back at watchuseek.com, the forum members suggested that i go with a third party agency. they basically buy the items for you in Japan and ship it out internationally. the draw back is that they have bank fees and commission fees. but they are able to get it for me. at this time, i really wanted the damn watch. so i went looking for third party agencies.

the members from the board suggested http://www.fromjapan.co.jp/en/. so i checked them out. prices are kinda high. so i went with a different route. www.japan-auction-agency.com. this site i believe is a bit cheaper than fromjapan.co.jp.en. so i went with them instead.

they have really good communication and they are pretty fast. they open at 7:00am their time in Japan, which is around 4:00pm US pacific standard time. and they replied back my questions at around 4:30 to 5:00pm. which is good service. so i placed a bid using their system.

finally, the auction ended and i got my my watch, and after everything, the watch came out to be around 275.00USD. not bad. and i got my watch in about 5 business days.

so there, my watch, DW5600FS-3JF in my hands. it was a long wait and a long ass search but i got my watch.

i gotta give it up from Vintage, Mansrow, Jabsa, Seamaster73, and of course Seiya-san. even though Seiya-san couldn't get the watch, he was still very nice and helpful with his e-mails. and thanks for your comment Sjors!

looking forward to my next purchase.

until then, late!!

Hero G Shock DW5600FS-3JF

My new G Shock DW5600FS-3JF. You may have seen this watch in the Japanese drama Hero SP and the Japanese Movie "Hero" starring Kimura Takuya. It was pretty hard trying to get this watch because it is only made in Japan. Therefore, I had to import the watch all the way from Japan. Anyways, after all the hard work, I finally got my hands on one. Enjoy the pics.
